Sarah Jones is a working mum of four and has lived in Croydon Central all her life.
A former Head of Campaigns at Shelter, Sarah has spent her career working hard to change things. She successfully worked for more affordable housing and support for homeless families. She worked for many years in health, and was part of the top team delivering the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Croydon has been let down for seven years by a Tory MP and government who promise much and deliver little.
Sarah is standing up for Croydon: campaigning hard on local issues like schools, where £20m Tory cuts threaten hundreds of teaching jobs across the borough. She is also campaigning to protect under-threat NHS services, help deliver homes people can afford and reverse the Tories’ transport chaos in Croydon.
Locally, Sarah lives in the heart of the constituency. Her daughter and two sons attend the local school. Sarah has been a member of the Labour Party for over 20 years because she wants to make life fairer and better for ordinary people.
On education, housing and the NHS, Sarah has the experience to know what change needs to happen. As a working mum, she will bring a fresh approach to politics and will fight for the Croydon community every step of the way.
